Bricks are used in construction and renovation all over the world. Over the years, the use of bricks has increased considerably, in fact, there was a time when bricks were mainly used for paving roads. There are various types of bricks, each with different characteristics, with its ideal structure and renovation use.  The following is a brief list of different types of bricks.

•         Burnt clay brick

These are very common bricks that have been formed in a press mold, dried, and fired in a kiln. Aesthetically speaking, these bricks have a simple appearance and can be used for most types of construction and renovation.

•         Engineered brick

These are very strong bricks that can be produced at extremely high temperatures. These bricks are ideal for large structures because they can support heavy weights and are also resistant to water and chemical damage.

•         Fly ash clay brick

These bricks are composed of fly ash and clay. They are recommended to be used only for interior home decoration because they do not perform well when exposed to moisture or water.

•         Sand and lime bricks

Silica fume bricks are manufactured by mixing fly ash, sand, and lime. The mixture is chemically treated and molded under a pressure die. They are better than ordinary clay bricks because they are stronger and can withstand higher loads.

These bricks also have an industrial gray, rather than the usual red of other bricks. However, the biggest advantage is that they are always uniform and much smoother.

•         Concrete brick

These are bricks composed of concrete. They have many uses for home decoration and can even be used for decorative purposes because they have different colors.

The use of bricks instead of other materials for the reconstruction of houses can be related to their interest. Brick is a universal material with many shapes, colors, and textures. They are robust building and reconstruction materials, with sound and fire insulation functions. They can last a long time and have many uses. Furthermore, they have good insulation properties and can maintain a constant temperature, which can save on electricity bills. Be sure to choose blocks wisely, as they may have to hold up for a long time.
